Joining the RF Crew in 2021, this early bird doesn't let obstacles get in her way! With Covid messing up plans to run the New York Marathon in 2020 and 2021, this legend is determined to tackle her goal no matter what. Meet Lindsay-Meg...
Tell us a bit about you.
I am a sunrise chaser. Lover of (addicted to) coffee. Mum to 2 incredible boys.
What keeps you fit and active?
I enjoy a goal to chase, usually a long distance running event or an F45 challenge!
Do you have any tips to share to help with motivation and accountability?
Find your goal and then show up to achieve it. Make your workout a habit and after a while, it will be. Find your people, they also make it more fun!
What's your favourite RunFaster print and/or style?
I love a high waist mid short and my favourite prints (at the moment) would have to be Lovebirds, Aurora and Snow Leopard (sorry can't pick one!).
Any other stories or comments?
I have unfinished business with New York City Marathon. Back in March 2019 BC (Before Covid) I completed the Virtual NYC Half Marathon for entry into the following year's race. Hubby and I booked everything - we were going to have a week in NYC kid free! Fast forward to March 2020 and my race was cancelled the day before we flew out. I still ran my own half marathon throughout Central Park while we were there, but we watched the entire world shutdown and when we returned to our 2 week home isolation, the world was a different place. At the end of October 2021, I had another attempt, by completing the Virtual NYC Marathon, my biggest goal yet and earned a spot in the 2022 'in person' race. Hopefully travel will be okay by then, but for now, I focus on what's right in front of me.
