These Weetbix cookies are perfect for a pre-workout snack. An ideal pre-exercise snack should have carbohydrates as we need carbohydrates to replace our energy stores that we use when we exercise. Weetbix is a great source of carbohydrates. They are also high in a number of other nutrients too, especially some of the B vitamins. Some B vitamins can increase our energy, which can support our exercise sessions too. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 5 Weetbix
- 40g Natvia
- 140g butter, soft and cubed
- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
- Prepare baking tray with baking paper.
- Place all ingredients into a food processor.
- Mix high for 30 to 40 seconds to form dough.
- Roll into balls and place onto baking paper.
- Use fork to flatten.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
- Allow to cool before eating.
